My enduring fascination with discarded metal has emerged in my ceramics practise as a preoccupation with the visual and material dialogue between clay and iron.

This work is a love note to the remote car graveyards of the Central Desert, where earth and iron converge, and where I have spent many introspective hours wading through long grass in search of discarded and broken treasures.

Materials: stoneware, glaze, iron oxide, found metal
